Florida Water Levels & the Daily Bite

Live stages for Florida's legendary largemouth & speck (crappie) lakes — the Big O, the Kissimmee Chain, the Harris Chain and the St. Johns lakes. Florida is flat, so these report a stage in low feet, not a mountain-pool elevation — each tube is scaled to that lake's regulation band. Every tube shows the current level, the lake's two signature fish (hover for the species, click for 2026 tournaments), and a live bite gauge at left. Scroll down for the catfish rivers and the spring-run float rivers.

Florida lakes are flat-water fisheries: the gauges report a stage in low feet (NGVD/NAVD), set by each water-management district's regulation schedule — not a mountain-reservoir elevation. The gold line is the lake's normal regulation top, the red line is the high-water / flood line, and the blue water is the live reading. The colored bar at left is a solunar bite forecast for right now (red = slow, green = hot).

River Catfish — Warm-Water Rivers

Florida's rivers give up big channel & flathead catfish — and trophy blues below Jim Woodruff Dam. The St. Johns, Apalachicola, Suwannee & Choctawhatchee all run year-round. Live river stage (ft) from NOAA with the action and flood stages marked. Hover a cat for the species; tap it for a guide.

Float Rivers — Paddle & Wade

Florida's spring-fed rivers are paddle paradise — the Suwannee, Santa Fe & Withlacoochee run gin-clear and 72°F over limestone. Live USGS gage height (ft); each tube marks FLOAT, EXPERT and FLOOD. Hover a fish; tap it for an outfitter.

Spring-fed runs hold steady and cool nearly year-round; the bigger rivers swell and brown-up after heavy rain.
