Ohio Water Levels & the Daily Bite

Live levels for Ohio's waters — Lake Erie, the world's greatest walleye factory, plus the inland Corps & ODNR reservoirs. Every tube shows the level, the water's two signature fish (hover for the species, click for 2026 tournaments), and a live bite gauge at left. Scroll down for the famous Maumee & Sandusky walleye runs and Ohio River catfish, and the smallmouth float rivers.

Each cylinder is scaled to its own band: the gold line is normal pool/level, the red line is the high-water line, and the blue water is the live reading. Corps reservoirs report pool elevation (ft MSL); Lake Erie reports a local stage in feet; several ODNR lakes have no NWS gauge and show a snapshot. The colored bar at left is a solunar bite forecast for right now (red = slow, green = hot).

River Catfish & Walleye Runs

Ohio's rivers run hot in spring: the Maumee and Sandusky host the legendary walleye runs that draw anglers from across the Midwest, while the Ohio River gives up trophy blue & flathead catfish. Live river stage (ft) from NOAA with the action and flood stages marked. Hover a fish for the species; tap it for a guide.

Float Rivers — Smallmouth & Walleye

Smallmouth & saugeye float water — the Great Miami and the Scioto through Columbus. Live gage height (ft); each tube marks FLOAT, EXPERT and FLOOD. Hover a fish; tap it for an outfitter.

Both rivers fish best at low-to-mid gage; they brown-up and push after summer storms.
